Tin bronze is a copper-based alloy primarily alloyed with tin. Tin content typically ranges from 3%-14%, often with small amounts of other elements like lead, zinc, or phosphorus to improve specific properties (e.g., machinability, wear resistance, castability). Tin bronze offers excellent wear and anti-friction properties, good corrosion resistance, good casting characteristics, good machinability, and relatively high fatigue strength. It is highly suitable for manufacturing bearings, bushings, gears, worm wheels, as well as valves, pipe fittings, etc., in seawater environments.
